A thrilling coaster journey that that incorporates music like no other has done before



Opening August 19th, 2009 Hollywood rip ride rocket takes you on a high speed "customized production shoot". You become the main feature of your very own music video as you select your music and take to the skies.


Design and Deception


Every ride layout includes different and unique features that set it apart from others, however Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket features some never seen before track designs that will keep you on the edge of the seat from start to finish. Starting with the 90 degree vertical belt lift hill that sends you 167 feet in the air, a steep rolling incline drop, a non-inverting loop, and multiple helixes and make up the intricate layout of this attraction. This ride utilizes many techniques to make it more thrilling than it really is. These include; only a lap bar to hold you in making you feel more unsecured, excessive g-force around banked turns, and sharp turns and drops that throw you around in your seat.


Ride Maneuvers and their technical names


  • Double Take (non-inverting loop)

  • Treble Clef (shaped like the famous music symbol)

  • Jump Cut (side-to-side spiraling negative gravity)

  • Crowd Surfer (overbanked turn above queue)

  • Drop Tuning (underground chasm)

  • Plot Twist (inclined loop)

  • Chorus (high speed ground turns and one last jump)


Fun Facts and special innovation


- The ride puts you through a total of 4.18 g's in the initial drop which is more than an astronaut experiences.

- The height of the drop at 167 feet makes it the tallest drop in Orlando!

- The sound system built into the ride trains was custom made by JBL audio in a contract that cost 250 million dollars!

- All of the unique ride features are custom and are named after musical terms to fit the theming.

-The ride devices to select music feature a "secret playlist" where an additional 65 plus songs can be accessed if you know how.
